Daddy's little girl, Naina💫 |Deepsikha Roy|

It was a sunny afternoon when Ramesh chacha was half drunk, frustrated and busy playing casino with his fellow mates. As he was dropping to failure with time, he couldn’t afford much for the upcoming trials. Being frustrated as he was leaving, one of his mates suddenly poked him and said, "My dear friend, I can't see you losing like this, enough of all these games. These things are not at all a good way of earning money. Go home and call me as I have something to tell you. Now leave, your daughter must be waiting for you."

It was almost evening when a thirteen year aged girl named Naina was excited about her new upcoming classes. She was eagerly preparing for the new subjects that were going to be taught. Suddenly Ramesh chacha arrives, addressing her daughter Naina he says, “I have a surprise for my little daughter today."

His daughter who was overwhelmed with joy asked him excitedly, “Surprise! What surprise? Are we going to the fair today ?"

Her father replied “May be something like that. Get dressed beautifully like a princess. We will be leaving soon.”

She dressed herself like Cinderella that day. She was busy admiring the possible surprises her father would probably plan. Ramesh chacha screamed from outside,  "Is my angel ready to go?" Naina quickly ran to him and they both went for the surprise.

They finally reached a place too crowded to stand. The place was dark and only some parts were exaggeratedly decorated. Some women were weirdly dressed and were poking each other with languages too vernacular to speak. Naina asked her father “Is this a fair papa? Why this place is so overstated and nasty? It doesn’t seem to be a nice place.”

Suddenly a middle aged woman appears in front of them. She wore a flashy dress and had put hefty makeup. Ramesh uncle tells Naina, “Meet your new aunt, my angel. She will be taking care of you for some time and introduce you with many people and friends. I have some work back at the market, I will come to take you soon till then have some nice time with her.”

As Ramesh chacha turned to leave, he got flashbacks of when he called his friend and he adviced him,

"People having daughters at their home doesn't need to be bothered about earning money."

  10. This is very wonderfully put up in a few paragraphs. It shows the most disturbing issues that the country is plagued with. The ending, though didn't put up in details, yet is clear to the readers to understand for issues like these are known to people across the country. The advice of the man's friend has moved me so deeply. This shows how often people objectify women and consider them objects of pleasures that would help them earn money. However, the women of today bring name/fame/wealth to families with uttermost respect and using all the resources available.

It's very skilfully portrayed deepshika and this has left me with a lot of questions in my mind, too difficult to answer.

    Waiting for more :)
